I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at DePaula Chevrolet (Albany, NY) in Sept 2016
Interview
Thorough and professional right from the start. I applied online and was called by Danielle from HR. She was very nice and phone screened me. She then set up a time for me to come in. I walked into the dealership which was impressive. She asked if I wanted coffee which was Starbucks. I sat in the waiting room and after a few minutes was brought to her office and met with her and the GM Paul.
The atmosphere was warm, professional, and relaxed all at the same time. After about 45 min. of Q/A the interview was complete. I was told they would let me know.
After a few days Danielle called me and told me I had gotten the position. I was very happy with the overall experience.

Question 1
What were some of your responsibilities at your last job?
I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DePaula Chevrolet (Albany, NY) in Feb 2014
Interview
When I arrived at Depaula, I was greeted by a friendly receptionist that asked how she could help. I told her that i was in for an interview and to see Mike Fountain. She went and got him and he came over, introduced himself as one of the sales managers and lead me to one of the finance offices for privacy. Once we sat down the first thing he told me was to relax and not to be nervous. He went through a few questions he had on his sheet and started to tell the history of the dealership. That was followed by a description of a sales guys day to day activities and then how the pay plan worked (which everyone IS paid the same weekly salary. Only reason some people make more is because they hit a bonus level from the previous month) He explained how the customer leads were distributed and how the "up" system worked. it pretty much came down to the people who work hard are rewarded with first come, first serve appointments. the remaining appointments are handed out among the rest of the sales team based on availability. The conversation overall was extremely comfortable. i was made to feel like if i got the job, i would be apart of a family. A competitive family. It was described to me as "Every guy on the floor wants to be the best and wants the guy next to him to be the best." Once we made it through the questionnaire, and the sports references, i was ultimately offered the position. I was told "we'd love to have a guy like you aboard that has no sales experience, so we can show you the right way to make lots of money. If youre up to it, you can start monday." Needless to say, I was there monday morning.

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at DePaula Chevrolet (New York, NY)
Interview
I met with Danielle M. and Alan K. when I was interviewing. They were very informative about the company and culture. They did a great job interviewing. They asked basic behavioral questions. It wasn't too hard. I got a call the next day from head sales Manager Mike F. and he informed me I was hired and started the next day.
