I applied through a staffing agency. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at DeVry University (Wood Dale, IL) in Feb 2009
Interview
I worked with a staffing agency who suggested the job for me. She said I would have my own portfolio of students that I would help set up financial aid for. I was told most of my communication would be via email and also phone (they didn't make it very clear that it's really just a call center and every phrase you have to say is determined for you - you're out of compliance if you deviate from the phrases they tell you to say)
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
None were difficult. All customer service based questions, such as "explain a time you had to deliver difficult news to someone and how did you handle it?"
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DeVry University in Dec 2011
Interview
Interviewed with the manager, then director... then regional director over the phone. Questions are situation-based - they ask how your previous experience will assist you if you are to gain the position, skills you have, etc. HR that was not local was very responsive and answered all questions thoroughly!
