I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1+ week. I interviewed at Dealermatch (Atlanta, GA) in June 2013
Interview
Extensive interview process, recruiter, peers, and managers. Many different people and a few of them had no idea what was needed for a discussion. I was asked the basic and then there were warning and challenges about the risk of a start up.
I applied through university. I interviewed at Dealermatch
Interview
There was a single in person interview out of office. We simply talked about the role and my experiences, absolutely no formal interview style questions or behavior. We talked about what the job entailed, what impact it had on the company, what the work environment was like, and what the hours would be like / flexibility of schedule.
The most notable part of the interview was the very real interest that was shown in me and my talents, as opposed to the strange neutrality that many interviewers show. Additionally, it wasn't someone simply put in charge of interviewing people, but it was the person who I am working with directly every single day, giving me a great impression of what my day to day interactions would be like.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
None. All were very straight to the point, on topic, and reasonable conversation. I was asked questions about technical skills I may possess that were related to the job, experiences from my resume that gave insight into my interests and skills, and what my schedule would be like.
