Interview with the Hiring Manager, where she asked basic question about myself, accomplishments and why leaving my company and why joining this one. I had time for asking some questions as well.

I had to prepare a case where I was asked for the regular questions, had to be prepared with a strong case that would highlight my storytelling and reasoning skills.

All the interview rounds went great for me, except the last one. The vibe from the director felt completely off — I could sense narcissism, toxic masculinity, and a general lack of professionalism. The questions made no sense and felt more like a power play than a genuine conversation. He even mentioned that he was intentionally making the questions difficult. When I asked what value I would gain from joining the company, his response was a clichéd, outdated pitch: “We’re the fastest-growing company, with the best designers and top-of-the-class quality.” Honestly, I’m glad I didn’t get the job. It’s a relief not to end up in such a toxic environment.
