I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Deel in Mar 2025
Interview
My interview process at Deel was well-structured and consisted of four key stages:
Initial Interview – An introductory conversation where the company and role were presented, followed by a discussion about my experience and expectations.
Home Test – A take-home project designed to assess key technical skills relevant to the position.
Technical Interview – A deep dive into my technical knowledge and problem-solving abilities, with a strong focus on backend development. One of the key topics discussed was database concurrency, where I was asked about my experience handling concurrent operations efficiently.
Additionally, the interview involved writing a lot of database-related pseudocode, which required demonstrating a structured approach to solving complex problems.
Feedback Interview – After the selection process, Deel scheduled a feedback session with a recruiter to provide insights on my performance. This was a valuable opportunity to understand areas for improvement and how I could strengthen my skills for future opportunities.
The process was clear and professional, and the team was engaged throughout. Although I was not selected to move forward, I appreciate the structured approach and the emphasis on candidate experience.

Interview
The interview process felt highly unprofessional and disengaged.
The recruiter joined the meeting late for a morning interview and immediately mentioned being tired and exhausted before turning off the camera. The entire interview lasted around 8 minutes despite a scheduled 30-minute slot, including the time I spent asking my own questions.
There was very little effort to understand my background or technical experience, and the interaction felt more like a checkbox exercise than a genuine evaluation process. The interviewer appeared uninterested throughout the conversation, which created the impression that the interview was being conducted only for process formalities rather than active hiring.
As a candidate, I invest time preparing, researching the company, and attending interviews professionally. It’s reasonable to expect the same level of respect and engagement from the hiring side.

Interview
I had 5 rounds interviews, a coding challenge, one technical, two behavioral interviews and just for my case I had one additional with my manager. Even though the process had a lot of interviews it was really fast, just taking 3 weeks from the start to when I recieve the offer, aditional to that somethin I like is they let you also meet the team so you know how is going to be working with them
