The interview process was very unprofessional and poorly managed. I had a screening interview scheduled, but unexpectedly received a rejection email the day before. When I reached out for clarification, HR asked me to resend my resume and confirmed the interview would proceed as planned.
During the interview, I was told that my location might be an issue since the role was onsite and they prefer to hire locally in Whitby. My location was clearly stated on my resume from the beginning, so this should have been addressed before scheduling the interview. I also confirmed I was willing to commute.
I was told I would hear back within a week, but it has been 2–3 months with no follow-up. Overall, it felt like a waste of time and a lack of respect for the candidate’s effort.
