I applied through an employee referral. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Delicato Family Wines in July 2024
Interview
Had an initial call with the hiring manager that went great, quickly connected with their boss over a Zoom call the following week which also went well. After that, met in person with hiring manager for a couple of hours to discuss role in more detail. The following week a call was scheduled with HR to discuss compensation plan and timeline on next steps regarding a potential call with VP/President and offer. Then I hit radio silence for about 10 days - then I found out I was runner-up for the position? Ultimately, each conversation was great - but that last call with HR should have never happened as I felt absolultely led on after the final decision. A very strange order of operations / process for an interview.

I applied online. I interviewed at Delicato Family Wines (Boston, MA) in May 2017
Interview
I applied for the position online. I heard back almost immediately from HR who set up contact with the hiring manager. Myself and the hiring manager then set up a time to meet.

Question 1
The interviewer showed up 15 minutes late and barely apologized. The only question asked of me was "so tell me about yourself." She proceeded to look at her watch while I was speaking and said she had a meeting to get to. A very insulting and unprofessional experience.
First and foremost please accept my sincerest apologies as to the way you were treated. Although I am not able to speak to the specifics around your experience, I will say that this is not the Delicato way. At Delicato, we put the candidate experience first as we want you to walk away feeling heard and respected. Again, our apologies.
