This was one of the worst interview processes I have ever gone through — complete disrespect for the candidate’s time and incoming experience. Like other reviewers, I went through 8 rounds of interviews over two months, plus a multi-hour assignment after round 2. All of these interviews were unstructured behavioral “conversations,” and not one person had read my resume or prepped questions ahead of time. It was interesting to hear everyone’s experience, but after about the 5th round it felt like neither the interviewer nor I was learning anything new. On top of that, the process was misleading: Every time I finished a round HR would tell me they wanted to schedule more interviews, so I never knew how many people they expected me to talk to or how long the process would take. At the end I was offered the entry-level Associate position despite having several years of relevant work experience, without any hint in the preceding interviews that this option was on the table or a clear explanation from HR as to why they made an offer for a lower position. The offer itself was far below industry average, and I declined feeling disrespected as a candidate and that the poor HR process belies many other internal/professional development/management issues at DGA.

The interview process started with an introductory call with HR, followed by a writing assessment, followed by 5-6 rounds of interviews with all seniority levels. As has been mentioned here on Glassdoor, I was being interviewed for the Senior Associate position but made an offer for the Associate position.
