I applied for a marketing position via email after finding it on a local job board. A couple of weeks later I got an email from the hiring manager to set up a phone interview. The conversation went well, but I noticed she really focused on why I wanted to work for the Denver Art Museum. I gave her my answer, but she dug deeper, which gave me the impression that she didn't like what I had to say or wanted me to say more. About a week later I followed up through email, and was told that the position was on hold and that she would follow up, but she never did.
