I was contacted by DPS at a hiring day for new teachers in Detroit. I interviewed with the district (principal, assistant superintendent, etc.) and was then placed at a school. The interview lasted about 15-20 minutes. Since this was my first teaching job, they asked me hypothetical questions about how I would handle various classroom and school scenarios.
