I had a disappointing experience with the interview process. I applied for a position on May and didn't hear back until mid-June. While the email instructions about the interview process were clear, the actual experience was frustrating.
I joined the scheduled video call on time, but the HR representative was 20 minutes late. Despite sending an email to confirm whether the interview had been canceled, there was no immediate response, leaving me uncertain and waiting.
I was genuinely excited about the job opportunity, which is why I chose to wait instead of leaving the call. Unfortunately, this made me feel undervalued when we finally began the interview. Rather than discussing my skills and experience, the questions focused on vague scenarios like "...the times when...".
This experience left me feeling disheartened and unworthy, and I don't think I will apply for another role at this company in the future.
