I applied in-person. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Dillard's (Littleton, CO) in Aug 2011
Interview
Strange application process. No online capabilities - you go into the offices and use their kiosk. There are no area's to apply for managemnt, so they call you in, determine you're way overqualified, then try to figure out what to do with you. I hope to receive an offer, as the people I interviewed with were terrific!
Very unorganized, no one knew what the other managers were doing. Norma the shoe manger was a nasty person and doesn’t like caucasians. Very back stabbing & they treat sales associates like trash.
I was heavily recruited. It was a smooth process. It consisted of 2 interviews. It was consistent with other retailers. The questions were answered and it was inviting . That’s all I have to say about my experience at Dillards

After introductions and light conversation you are asked about your work experience, customer service skills, personality traits, et cetera. Many of the hiring managers keep the interview process light and easy going.
