I applied through a recruiter. The process took 4 weeks. I interviewed at Disney+ Hotstar
Interview
First round involved Recruiter call who asked basic screening questions including some iOS ones.
Second round involved a take home assignment to build a page given the design specs which presented a decent challenge.
Third and final interview involved 3 different sessions, one around the assignment which was quite technical, one with the Hiring Manager around behavioral questions, one with product and designer who tested communication skills.
I interviewed at Disney+ Hotstar (London, England)
Interview
Very easy, the manager was really friendly and made me feel comfortable. It felt informal and relaxed. Very easy, the manager was really friendly and made me feel comfortable. It felt informal and relaxed.
I interviewed at Disney+ Hotstar (Los Angeles, CA)
Interview
First it was a video call with Talent Acquisition, then a video call with the Hiring manager, then there was a deck presentation to hiring manager, then 2 more separate interviews with senior leadership, and finally an in-person interview with hiring manager and head of department.
The interview process had some positives, but there were noticeable coordination issues.
After my first round, I did not receive clear feedback on the outcome. Despite that, a second round was scheduled. During my second interview, I even received a call from HR asking for clarification about the first round, which suggested a lack of internal alignment.
Additionally, all interview rounds were scheduled during employee lunch hours (1–2 PM), which felt inconvenient and slightly rushed from the interviewers’ side.
While the interviewers themselves were professional and the discussions were decent, the overall process could benefit from better coordination, clearer communication, and more structured scheduling.
