Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback about your interview process. It saddens us to hear that you didn’t have a good experience with our Talent Team. Had we known the salary discussion was a concern of yours, we could have explained why we don’t give a range for engineering roles over the phone. Our approach here at Displayr is to pay our team members a fair and competitive salary that is aligned to their individual skillset and experience, and also to the market and the rest of our team. We try not to put our candidates in a ‘box’ and tell them what we would like to pay them, as we don’t know enough about you or your skills to know what salary package would be fair or enticing for you. We do instead ask what your expectations are, and we are happy to let you know if we feel this won’t align with other engineers in our business with similar levels of experience. More often than not, a fair salary package is offered and accepted by the candidates we choose to progress with based on the salary expectations given to us by the candidate in our initial conversation. This package includes a competitive base, quarterly individual bonus, learning allowances, flexible working conditions and equity. We have a pub lunch on Fridays too, but that is because the CEO likes to hang out with the team!
Our research tells us that Displayr pays well above industry rates and is further proven by our low staff turnover, especially amongst the Engineering team.
