Panel interview with Nursing Director, Clinical Nurse Manager, and 2 Shift Managers. Interviewed 3 candidates at the same time and asked each of us the same question. While the candidates answered questions, the interviewers wrote down notes. Position was for the ED. The interview was on Monday and we were told that we should hear back either way by the end of the week on Friday.

You have a 87 year old post op hip replacement patient. Blood pressure is 60/40 and after all interventions, the highest the systolic bp went up to was 80. What would you do?

Panel Interview with 7 people (staff nurses from day and night shift; nurse managers; nurse director). Group interview with 3 other candidates, and we were asked the same questions. This was for the New Grad RN Residency Program for the Med-Surg/Tele units.
