Director of Product and Customer Success Interview

      15 Mar 2025
      Anonymous interview candidate
      North Charleston, SC
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at DoiT (North Charleston, SC) in Mar 2025

      Interview

Companies really need to stress professionalism while engaging candidates, and DoiT's TA leader fell short. I received an email within two weeks of applying for the role to schedule a 30-minute interview, and I promptly scheduled the interview. I spent time researching the company, its products/services, and its leadership in preparation for the interview. Interview day/time arrives, and I'm awaiting a phone call from the TA specialist, but no call occurred. Approximately 15 minutes after the meeting start time, I received an email from the TA leader stating that they were tied up and couldn't slip away but asked if I had availability later that day (Thursday) or the next day (a Friday). I understand that things happen, so I responded within minutes with my availability to reschedule. I didn't receive any acknowledgment or updated meeting invitation, so by Monday morning I decided to follow up with my availability for the week in an attempt to reschedule the interview. Again, no acknowledgment from the TA leader. A week later I received an automated email that the position had been filled. What a complete waste of time and lack of professionalism by a leader in their TA organization. The candidate experience, whether a job offer is extended or not, should be a positive one, especially in this oversaturated job market. There is no excuse for no acknowledgment days after communication. It speaks volumes about both the TA leader and the company they represent, and honestly, I'm glad I dodged a red flag.

Thank you for your honest and detailed feedback. The experience you described doesn’t reflect the high standards we aim for at DoiT. We recognize the time and effort you put into preparing for the interview and understand how frustrating it must have been to be left without clear communication. While we do our best to pre-plan and avoid last-minute changes, rare situations can arise as we try to balance interview timing with busy schedules. That said, our goal is always to follow up, keep candidates up-to-date and respected throughout the process—especially when changes like these happen. We’re not perfect, and we’re always striving to improve. We’ve spoken with our TA team and remain committed to ensuring timely and respectful follow-ups moving forward. Thank you again for bringing this to our attention, and we wish you all the best in your job search. Lital Ben Porat, Director of Global Talent Acquisition @ DoiT
