I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dom and Tom (New York, NY) in Feb 2014
Interview
I had applied online and soon received an email from the HR representative. We agreed upon an date to have the initial phone interview where I was asked personality type questions. The second interview was held in their NYC office with a senior web developer. He had asked me questions related to web development and what technologies i was proficient in, and how I would solve network latency issues. The third interview was held over Skype, where I spoke to the current held of Web and a tech lead. The interviewing process was very straight forward and what surprised me more so than anything else was the lack of programming problems to solve. I wasn't asked to write pseudocode regarding some silly programming problem.
I had asked the interviews for this lack of technical examination, and they told me that there was no need. I had demonstrated that I spoke about the technologies I had experience with in a manner that conveyed intelligence on the topic. Basically, I knew what I was talking about so I must know something. LOL.
I received an email and phone call regarding an offer and background check requirements. I promptly accepted and forwarded the required paper work. Throughout the entire interview process the people were very casual and open minded regarding my answers and my questions. The interview process very much gave me a glimpse of the company culture, which I very much admire.
