I spoke with a Recruiter and that interview was great, and next I spoke with the Hiring Manager. That did not go as well, they seemed distracted, looking at multiple screens etc.

Interview
I was proactively contacted about a role and had an initial conversation with the recruiting team. I was also referred by a senior leader within the company, which made me especially thoughtful about engaging in the process.
The discussion itself was professional and informative. After sending a follow-up note, I did not receive any additional communication or closure despite being told they'd follow-up.
I understand that priorities and hiring needs can change, but closing the loop, particularly when outreach is proactive and includes internal referrals, would go a long way in maintaining a positive candidate experience.
