      Interview

      The DoorDash interview process is long and drawn out, they preach their ‘values’ over and over but don’t follow through on them. My time was never respected, it took 3 weeks for them to reply to my application. Then another week to have first round interview, I was successful and then had to complete an assignment within 48 hours. I completed it well within the time. No response from DoorDash, two follow ups and almost three weeks later, they reply saying I answered one question wrong and based on that I won’t be progressing. I was originally devastated, one question wrong seems so small. It could have been easily fixed but instead of seeing through my nerves, they took weeks to come back to me and then didn’t even want to provide feedback. I had to follow up again and ask what happened. All things happen for a reason and now I’m thrilled I didn’t get the job. I don’t want to be working for a fake culture. My advice would be to avoid them, the recruitment process is 5-6 interviews long and they have no respect or appreciation for your time.

      This happened in 2021. The phone interview appointment did not happen on the same day. I had to call the interviewer and they apologised and rescheduled to following week. On the day of phone interview, they just asked few basic questions. It seemed that they already got the suitable candidate at that time.

      Very involved interview process, over the course of 6+ weeks. The people are clearly passionate about what they do and very nice, but I think the company is missing out on great candidates by asking detailed questions about the business to outsiders during the process and assuming that the best candidates will be able to supply answers within 5 minutes that the company is still trying to figure out. Be prepared to really put in time, both in preparation and for the actual interview slots--which is difficult when you have a full time job. Seems like a great company overall, but I think the interview process was a little over the top, especially in terms of the level of detail desired when answering questions. Either you can do the job as an account manager, or you can't. If the former, you can learn and apply the knowledge and priorities you gain of the business once you're hired. But DoorDash seems to have different expectations here.
