      Social Impact Manager Interview

      1 Feb 2022
      Anonymous interview candidate
      New York, NY
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied in-person. The process took 3 months. I interviewed at DoorDash (New York, NY)

      Interview

Applied for the position in October. Heard nothing back for months. Recruiter reached out in Jan asking if I could have an informal chat with the hiring manager. Had a really nice chat with her and then the following week recruiter called to go over their process which included : another 45 min interview with hiring manager, panel interview, “working session” (aka do work for free) and then another interview with SVP. Was pretty turned off by the ridiculous hoops they wanted me to jump through for a position that has been up for 4 months. And then the recruiter mentioned that someone else was further along in the process and that they would get back to me shortly but I haven’t heard anything. I saw the position was reposted on LinkedIn. Honestly, doesn’t really seem like they are actually interested in hiring someone. In this economy, where employees have their pick of jobs, you should really think about having a maximum of 2 interviews. Anything else is complete overkill and disrespectful of the candidates time. Definitely echo the sentiment shared by others on here that doordash takes themselves too seriously during the interview process and as an employee. I’ve heard horror stories of 90 hour work weeks and little work/life balance
