Interview
Took math test upon arrival....see how many you can do in three minutes..maybe 100 questions. I finished all, missed one. Mass interviewing. Very dry interview. ... Not good introduction or end of interview,
I applied online. I interviewed at Dot Foods, Inc. (Vidalia, GA) in June 2017
Interview
The process was completed relatively quick and inviting. One issue is during the interview I was told an internal candidate had been chosen, which seems odd and unprofessional but honest. It would have been best to not call me in at all. It was good practice to get back into interview mode. The testing is online for logic, reasoning, deduction and math. Process: applied online, initial phone interview with corporate, interview with warehouse manager, interview with warehouse director, about 2 hours of testing, and a final video interview with the same corporate recruiter. After two weeks I contacted corporate to ask about the decision. I was confirmed the internal candidate was hired. My suggestion for someone interviewing for such a position is to ask if they are actually looking for a candidate or simply going through the listing motions. It was no big deal for me as I live just down the road, but for someone traveling from a distance, not so much. This seems to be more of how it's down locally in Vidalia. Then again why not hire from within and why not start from the ground floor? Providing your staff with upward mobility is awesome and DOT seems to do that.
