I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Dropbox (New York, NY) in Sept 2016
Interview
Very unprofessional hiring of Senior positions.
A senior recruiter approached me directly on linkedin for a Senior QAE position in NY, NY and I went ahead and a interview was scheduled even after contacting her thrice for confirmation. After the initial phone screen no reply till 3 days and finally i get to hear that a candidate is already hired for this position and the position is removed from all the portals
Both of the individual's time would be saved if she had already told me earlier about this.
Its been really unprofessional that for a senior position a recruiter can merely do something like this
I wish there was an interview process. They created the job posting with the description that exactly matches my skills and it's portrayed in my resume. They still rejected my application multiple times without even having a phone screen.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Dropbox (San Francisco, CA) in Aug 2019
Interview
I applied online and got contacted by a recruiter, 1st phone screen with the recruiter went fine. She mainly asked about my experience, 2 technical questions. She also explained the nexts steps for 2nd technical phone interview. Within few days I got scheduled for the 2nd interview with a newly joined QA from NY. This position was SF based. The interviewer mentioned at the beginning that he has no clue about the team or the role, that I am getting interviewed for, so won't be able to answer any questions I may have regarding that. He begin with QA philosophy questions and then moved on to scenario based questions and asked me to list test cases for every scenario. The interview went very well, or so I thought. I was expecting to hear back from them and followed up with both the recruiters but no response. After more than a week, I got my automated response of rejection. I requested for a feedback, since the email didn't provide any information but never heard back from them.
