I applied through university. I interviewed at Duke University in May 2017
Interview
Checked the job positions from Duke human resource and sent a resume to PI. Got an invitation from PI within days and scheduled an interview. Gave a 30 minutes of presentation for my PhD research projects. After presentation, I was given a tour of lab and talked with all lab members one by one. Days later, I got an accepted letter from the supervisor.

Interview
Pretty casual and straightforward. Welcoming faculties and staffs. The interview is more like a confirmation once the decision is made by the hiring personnel. Just providing a data point here.

Interview
The interview was held face to face. It only takes 5 minutes long to let the PI decide to take me. No hard challenges were met. Overall, it was a professional and happy process.

Interview
Casual, as I knew the Principal Investigator. We spoke once about the position, and I accepted the offer. I learned more about the position and the opportunity arose when the PI's funding came through, albeit a little bit into the fall semester. I met the primary administrator and other staff during the process. All were welcoming individuals who gave me the opportunity to ask questions.
