I applied online. I interviewed at Durr Mechanical Construction (Tannersville, PA) in Oct 2016
Interview
The interview was easy and went well. The hiring official was talking about the job responsibilities and day to day tasks. Then we went over my background and my experience. The interviewer seemed to think I was a good fit for the position. When I asked the interviewer if he felt there were any gaps between my experience and the skills required by this position, he said no. He told me that he felt that I can do the job. Before I left, the interviewer told me that someone from HR will get in touch by the end of the week. No one did. No one even followed up after I called and requested a callback. This interview process was the waste of professional and personal time.

Interview
I replied to an ad for a Junior Estimator/Project Manager position at a satellite office of theirs in Tannersville, PA. I was called in for an interview in Tannersville within a week. The interview was fairly straight forward and went well talking about the job responsibilities and going over my background in the chemical process and petroleum industries. The interviewer seemed to think I was a good fit for the position. The next week I was invited to their New York City headquarters to interview with the division manager. The night before the interview the HR manager sent me a revised job description that was not for a Junior Estimator/Project Manager position but for a seasoned Project Manager position with much different requirements. After driving into New York (at rush hour) I was promptly told in clear and non-uncertain terms that my experience did not meet the job requirements. The job ad for the Junior Estimator/Project Manager position, which I interviewed for in Tannersville, is still posted. Not sure the right hand knows what the left is up to...
