      Technical Support Specialist Interview

      2 Sept 2021
      Anonymous employee
      Dallas, TX
      Accepted offer
      Negative experience
      Average interview

      Application

I applied online. I interviewed at Dykema (Dallas, TX) in Sept 2021

      Interview

I interviewed three times with five individuals. After one month of planning, interviewing and spending over 20 hours of my time, I was offered the position by formal letter and accepted. The following week I was informed the CIO, Ed Empamano, would like to meet with me. In this meeting he asked me kindergarten level technical support questions. For example, how to set up a email on an Android phone or what to do when a client can't access their email. Seriously?! I received a call the next day that my offer was being rescinded based on that Ed did not feel I was a the correct candidate. He had an entire month to connect with me and waited until I already signed and returned my acceptance offer letter, then rescinded it. This is singularly, by far, the most unprofessional situation I have ever witnessed in a business setting. Ed Empamano pulled a last minute power play and disrespected not only me, but everyone that spent so many hours to interview and vet my skills and references.
