I applied online. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Dynalabs (Saint Louis, MO) in Oct 2020
Interview
My interview was very short and very easy with the hiring manager. After the interview was done we toured the facility. Two people were supposed to be at my interview, but one was sick and couldn't make it.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Tell me about yourself
Tell me about your experience
Took about 15 minutes... The President (or site leader) had obviously not read my resume or even begun to look at my credentials. Before any interview/background questions, I am told that he does not feel I have sufficient lab experience to take this role, and he hopes he did not waste my time. WHAT!?! Yes, you wasted my time. I took off work and drove down here for the interview that apparently is not taking place. While I could have defended my experience, I stopped and said, "Thank you and good luck with your search."
I applied through other source. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Dynalabs (Saint Louis, MO) in Sept 2013
Interview
I was a contractor for Dynalabs previously so I had an existing relationship with the owners and management. This, obviously, gave me a leg-up on any competition. The interview was brief and I was basically pitched the job rather than having me pitch myself. There were no technical questions but I believe I was an exception having already been familiar with the company.
Overall it was a positive experience. One thing to note - the offer was contingent on passing a HAIR FOLLICLE DRUG TEST. This was only brought up AFTER negotiations, I had resigned from my other job and accepted the offer. In my opinion, they should have brought this up much earlier in the process.
