Recently I had a very negative hiring experience with EMnify for this role. I was referred by an old colleague and throughout a 2 month period I had 5 interviews including a case study. The first interview with talent acquisition was first rescheduled last minute and then the second interview was with the hiring manager for the role of Senior Event Marketing Manager. After this interview, I was informed that the next step would be a functional assessment/case study. Before I could get started on the case study, I was informed the role would be changed to EMEA Regional Marketing Manager. I was fine with this as the company had recently hired a new VP Marketing and the job description still seemed like a fit for my experience.
A week or so passed and I met with the VP Marketing and had a good conversation about the role and her expectations. I then met with the VP Sales and had an extensive interview and was questioned a lot on my experience in collaborating with sales which was also I felt a positive conversation.
I was then moved to the case study stage again for the new role and the call was scheduled with the VP Marketing, VP Sales, and the CRO. The case study was quite challenging as it was very specific to EMnify and didn't leave as much room to bring my own experience to the discussion as I was trying to answer the questions asked in the assessment. On the call, the CRO and team asked some quite irrelevant questions on using AI to measure marketing ROI (seems like most companies are just talking about AI without actually understanding it). Overall the case study did not go very well I felt, however I was told I would be notified by the end of the following week. Now comes the best part - I was sent a very standard automated rejection email from talent acquisition that looked like it was the same email sent to anyone who applied for a role an EMnify ("insert job title here"). The kicker was that the email was asking for MY feedback on the process in a form that would be sent later, and it did not have any personalization or reasoning behind why I was not chosen for the role.
Of course I responded and asked for further details and also mentioned that I was disappointed to receive such an impersonal automated response email, and asked if more info could be shared. I received no response after 1 week BUT I did receive a lovely reminder email to fill in my feedback on their hiring process :D In the end I am very relieved to have not proceeded any further as this showed the way the company works and it was a lucky escape.
