      Interview

I had one of the most unprofessional interview experiences with this company. I was contacted and sent directly to an in-person meeting with the owner, without even any initial call from HR. That was the first red flag. The job posting was also taken down shortly after I was contacted, which made the situation feel even more questionable. During the interview, it became clear that the owner was more interested in extracting information about my former employer — one of their competitors — than in learning about my qualifications. I was asked several inappropriate and non job related questions, such as: What were the prices for their products? What is their work hour for employees? What were their best-selling items? What print designs did they use? I explicitly stated that I couldn’t and wouldn’t disclose proprietary information, but the questions continued. I left the interview feeling disrespected, used, and disappointed. This was not a genuine recruitment effort, but rather an attempt to gain insider information under the guise of a job opportunity. I would caution others to approach with care and be prepared to set firm boundaries if you move forward with them.

How much did you pay for your best sellers? I told him I can't disclose that.
