I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at ERM (Chicago, IL)
Interview
Initial communication with HR was very smooth and HR was helpful. Interview onsite was strange and involved lots of questions that didn't seem related to the posted job. Also felt that many of the questions were overly personal and not relevant. I felt that one of the interviewers was trying to make me uncomfortable.

It was a friendly interview panel of four employees from different levels. They asked technical questions and basic behavioral interview questions. The interview was about an hour and a half long.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at ERM
Interview
Received interview through networking. Interview was easy going. They wanted to know about my college courses, skills, and why I chose to major in geology. All around great experience and great company / people.
A few hours long with multiple people asking real world questions and scenarios. I was presented with a few materials and asked questions on the spot. Mostly just talked about my collegiate and previous work experience. They were looking for someone they could work with. Personality is everything in consulting.
