I applied through university. The process took 5 weeks. I interviewed at EWM Global
Interview
Resume, Cover Letter, 2 separate online interviews. I got to the last stage only to be told that if you pick this role you're agreeing to working 3 jobs at once: office manager, HR intern and an errand boy. A complete waste of time
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EWM Global (London, England) in May 2018
Interview
I interviewed with EWM in May 2018 with the recruiter confirming my CV was the only one selected at the time. The first interview was in the London office with the regional director and the data and reporting team lead who were both easy to speak with and the interview was fairly smooth. I thought I could have performed better but it turns out I was invited to a second interview. The second interview was a video call with the product management director and another lady in the US who were very accomplished and also a pleasure to speak with. They did have reservations about my career history and whether I would stay with EWM for the long term but I assured them I was looking for a permanent vacancy and additional job security. Despite their concerns I was invited for a final interview in London with the the Head of Operations and the Head of HR joining in over Skype. Again, the interview appeared to flow quite well and the Head of Operations was extremely friendly.
Following my final interview I received feedback from the recruiter a few days later to say I had not been selected as EWM felt I did not show enough drive or desire for the job. I was rather confused by this feedback as I had already been through 2 rounds of interview in which I continuously reiterated my interest in the role and showed I was extremely passionate. I am failing to understand why I was progressed to the final interview if I did not have the right motivations.
I subsequently noticed the same vacancy being advertised in October 2018 and decided to apply again as I very much wanted to be a part of EWM and it seemed like the perfect opportunity given my prior experience. The recruiter advised she would approach EWM to see if they would reconsider myself as a candidate however I did not hear anything further. I also reached out to the data and reporting team lead over social media a month later but not receive a response.
However this wasn't the last time I saw the vacancy advertised and noticed the role go live again in February this year. On this ocassion I was still in search of employment and politely emailed EWM. Unfortunately I did not receive a response.
In conclusion, I would say the interviews I participated in were a positive experience but I can only deem my overall experience with EWM as negative.
