East Penn Machine Operator interview questions

The actual process took awhile which I called repeatedly, they were absolutely friendly enough. My interviewer was very nice. We spoke at depth about my past, which I served jail time. My criminal history is felony drug charges. My last conviction was over 13 years ago and have not been in prison in over 9 years. So with all this being said, I went through tbe different phases, passed every test. A day before I was set to begin HR department called to tell me I wasn't honest about a charge and that they are choosing to withdraw the offer to begin work. Of course I was shocked I just showed my young daughter where I was going to begin work and that daddy is going to be able to buy her things she will need because the pay is good and it's full time with over time work all tbe time. So I asked tbe HR lady what charge? I told her I was honest with every thing. She said well you dud bot mention Intimidating A Witness/Simple Assault. It is a felon in tbe 3rd degree, just above a misdemeanor. So I told her on tne application you are given 2 lines to write convictions down and I didn't have enough room. But I told tbe 8nterviewer all about it and that she saud just put down tbe ones you remember most, but again I verbally told interviewer I actually told tbe interviewer my whole life story and how excited I was to even be selected for interview. But anyway the HR lady said listened I than said I can give you statements from former employers (bosses) on my work ethics and how o do not miss days and learn fast. She said maybe that is a possibility and said she will call me back in 40 min. So tbe story didn't end with happy ending I absolutely didn't t understand what I even did wrong. The actual charge she asked about is exactly 22 years old and the most minor of my charges and yet after all this time it was held against me even with all the good things I could proove thar I am not Tha person anymore she chose not to hire me
