I applied in-person. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at East/West Industries (Ronkonkoma, NY) in May 2015
Interview
Had an in person interview with HR. Was asked the same questions over and over again. Was then asked different questions that were designed to make me answer the previous questions with a contradicting answer. Was asked private questions dealing with my family, marital status, salary I was looking for upfront (probably a weeding out technique). They try to get you to bad mouth your previous employers by asking negative questions about those companies, like you mean there was nothing that bothered you at xyz company? Was made to feel very uncomfortable like I was on trial for something I did wrong. The scrutiny of this interviewer was very overbearing. She asked for an explanation of almost every word I uttered. Made to feel extremely uncomfortable especially when she pulled apart my resume for having a gap when I had been laid off in another field and asked how that happened and why I was only at a particular company for 8 months. I noticed that she and others at East/West Industries had also experienced gaps and short stints at some of their previous/multiple employers listed on LinkedIn. She also told me about problems she had with other employees working there. I felt she was looking at me as a problem to this company and not what I could contribute with my prior experience and abilities.

Question 1
What bothered you about working at your previous company?
I applied online. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at East/West Industries (Ronkonkoma, NY) in Nov 2017
Interview
I originally learned about the job opportunity from an online posting. Once I applied online, I was contacted right away and set up an interview within a day or so. Finding the building was easy, they are located right at Long Island MacArthur airport. The interview was very casual, more conversational and I felt very at ease. Everyone I spoke with was very friendly, courteous and professional. The usual questions were asked as far as an interview goes. After the interview, I was told that someone would get back to me within a few days. As promised they reached out to me and offered me the position. Can not remember excaly how long everything took from the time I contacted east west until I started working for them, but I know it was not very long.
