I applied through university. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Econ One Research (New Delhi) in July 2023
Interview
The interview process was of a decent difficulty level, with a primary focus on my CV and core econometrics concepts. Interviewers asked detailed questions about my previous academic and professional experiences, particularly those involving data analysis, statistical tools, and research work. Additionally, I was tested on the basis of a case study questions that is about how strong your analytical skill are.

Question 1
One key question they asked me was: Can you explain the assumptions of the OLS regression model and why they matter?
Process including a quality control. Generally unclear as to what their quality standards were or how to best complete the exercise. Even when asking clarifying questions, the exercise wasn’t very well put together. Based on this alone, it likely wasn’t a very good fit for me as I can see how this would translate into management and team dynamics.
I applied through a recruiter. I interviewed at Econ One Research in Aug 2025
Interview
Ghosted after multiple rounds/assessments. Started ok. I spent 4 hours on assessments + an interview. Was meant to hear back about a potential final round, but was ghosted.
A simple email would've been the professional thing to do for an economic consulting firm where professionalism and trust is supposed to be essential.

Typical questions regarding why econ consulting, why econ one etc. walk through projects in a particular space. there were multiple assessments (a word QC assessment, and an excel assessment which was fairly easy). Also a couple of litigation specific exercises and writing samples.
