I applied online. The process took 2 months. I interviewed at Econometrica
Interview
The first step in the process was setting up a screening interview with the HR Director. Before that interview, they asked that I complete an editing exercise (a 4-page document) and send that to them. The interview with the HR Director was mainly about my general eligibility and availability for the position. Questions were about my current employment status, my available start date, my current citizenship status, my willingness to have a background check done, etc. They got back to me in a little less than a week and asked to set up another interview, this time with the editing department head. That interview involved questions about my experiences with editing, familiarity with style guides, what interested me in Econometrica, etc. At the end of this interview, I was told I would hear back within 2 weeks about the position. However, that communication never came. I reached out about 3 weeks after the interview, and they responded that they had gone with a different candidate.
