      Director of Video Production Interview

      20 Sept 2023
      Anonymous interview candidate
      Detroit, MI
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Difficult interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 4 months. I interviewed at Ecosystems (Detroit, MI) in Nov 2021

      Interview

Long and the short of it is that I went through a 2 month long interview process, interviewing 6 times with different team members. I also submitted work samples (actually working on their content to show them what I could provide them with their assets, which took me about 6-8 hours) Although the recruiter was ready to get an offer figured out for me after the 6th interview, there was a hang up over the fact that I had not read through the PDF about the company's core values, despite the fact that the core values and my own personal core values were in genuine alignment. The company decided to move on from me as a candidate, only to come back about a month later to reassess my candidacy, to which I was skeptical of. They obviously had not found anyone else that could fulfill this role that they had envisioned. And after 1 more interview, stuck with their decision that I would still be not made an offer. Because of the hang up of the last interview, I had decided to be overly studied about the company and the position, and I believe the interviewer said he wanted me to speak more about myself. Can't win for losing.
