      Analyst Interview

      No offer
      Negative experience

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at EdTec

      Interview

I had an initial meeting with the recruiter that went well. I was told the salary range was on the lower end of anything I have heard of in the Bay area but was interested enough in the company to proceed. I was asked to complete a budget excel exercise in 2 hours. I would rate myself as 8/10 with excel skills and have strong finance background. I took the time to complete the exercise which was straight forward. I had planned to talk with the hiring manager about areas I could improve on the budget and hear their feedback about the assumptions I provided. Edtech decided to pass. I asked for feedback on the exercise the company refused to provide any.
