Interview
Person applies, if app gets through/acknowledged by the recruiting department they review persons history, sometimes phone interview and, if the recruiter (not someone working in the department where person applied) thinks it's a potential good fit, the applicant may get an interview with the manager of the department - if the manager thinks the resume and history is something that qualifies the individual for the department. It's not uncommon for positions to be posted by the company because they have to be but the position is already filled with someone from within the organization.
