I applied through an employee referral. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at El Pollo Loco (Laguna Hills, CA) in June 2013
Interview
The interview was just to get to know you and to see if you speak any Spanish. Most el pollo locos have Latin customers which means they want spanish speakers as cashiers most of the time. Although it is not a true requirement, it will get you an offer quicker.
I applied online. I interviewed at El Pollo Loco (Pearland, TX) in June 2026
Interview
The interview was a very smooth and quick process. Very straight-forward and very open and honest about what they are looking for in an employee. Simple questions and overall an excellent interview.

Question 1
One thing they asked me was what does a team mean to me.
The interview was quick and easy, they get straight to the point and ask how you feel about working there and as well as what days you are free to work. After that they explain what the position holds and how you should hold yourself when working.
