Interview
The interview process with the user was great for me. The step by step was clear and informative. The interviewer was friendly. I didn't manage to get an offer and he wrote me feedback about why they didn't continue the process. Good to know so I can upgrade myself for the better.

Overall Thoughts:
Enjoyable and well-structured interview process! I had the opportunity to speak with multiple team members at different steps of the process.
Culture was an important factor in searching for my next role with two main criteria. First, finding a company with a culture that I really identified with. Second, a company that truly upheld and invested in building their culture. E8 knocked it out of the park on both fronts, I felt the importance of company culture from my very first interview.
Some calls had to be rescheduled (including once on my end) but all scheduling was coordinated very smoothly and updates were communicated promptly.

Personal Plus Points (relative to other interview processes):
+ Company culture is well regarded and articulated by all 5 team members I spoke with (real-life examples provided, not just listing high-level values).
+ Take home task to showcase product sense, instead of live interview (opportunity to demonstrate async communication capabilities).
+ The "goal" of each call was established at the start of every call and adhered to. Every interview felt like a conversation and interviewers showed their personalities (VS atypical corporate QnA).
Possible Room for Improvement (relative to other interview processes):
- Average of 1 week between each step. Relatively long compared to some other companies. With that said, interviewers did bring up they have a longer process to ensure they brought on the right people.
Personal tips for future interviewees:
1. Culture-fit is important. Learn about what E8's culture is like and how it might relate to you.
2. The take-home task is your opportunity to showcase both your product sense and async communication.
3. If you see a position that interests you, just apply! I genuinely think someone will review your application :)

Imagine you are head of product at <insert company>, looking after <insert product>.
Think of 5-10 ideas of how to improve the product and explain the rationale behind your ideas.
1st interview on Feb 10 with a product consultant. 2nd interview on Mar 1 with a director.
The whole interview process is efficient. Conversational interview style, with open-ended questions, giving you enough time & flexibility to answer.
I attended 2 interviews and both interviewers are great at listening, trying their best to understand you in evaluating role & culture fit.

- General questions & discussions about work experience, specifically in past projects, product management, problem-solving, and leadership
2nd Interview
- Diving deeper into relevant experience & skills in product management, specifically in product thinking, strategy & leadership
- Team management & leadership. Example question: How do you motivate your team?
- As I do have startup as my latest work experience, most of the interview session was discussing about my product leadership & management at the startup, which for the interviewer, is a more relevant evaluation for the role.
