I applied in-person. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Ella Bliss Beauty Bar (Denver, CO) in Sept 2015
Interview
The interviewers (owner & manager) were condescending and rude. The interview took longer than expected, and some of the questions were strange and unnecessary. It was also obvious that they did not read my cover letter or resume.

Interview
The manager asked me questions off of typed page, gave me a tour, then I had to give her a facial. An employee I met didn’t know what kind of wax they used, the room had carpeting, and I was given no direction as to what kind of facial to give, how much time to spend, etc. Equipment (mag light) was also broken. Also wouldn’t tell me what the pay was.
I applied online. I interviewed at Ella Bliss Beauty Bar (Centennial, CO) in Feb 2017
Interview
The woman that interviewed me was very friendly, seemed warm and caring. I did not get the position even though I had a lot of experience, including spa management. They encourage new graduates to apply, which is different than any other place I've worked. At high end spas they usually want people with experience and if they have clientele to bring with them, even better. I think they prefer new graduates so they can pay them at a lower rate, which is too bad. They were conducting all interviews on one day, and I got a generic email later that same day stating they were not going to move forward with me.
