Very straightforward and simple. Manager and store owner meet to go over prior work experience. You also go over possible work schedule and availability. Tour of the work environment is given as well as uniform.
I applied online. The process took 3 weeks. I interviewed at Ellianos Coffee Company (Headland, AL) in Aug 2023
Interview
This interview process was choppy and unprofessional. With almost 10 years of operations management experience in Food Service, I applied for the General Manager (store manager) position for the new Headland Store. This is a franchised location owned by the Smiths Hardware owner + Crumbl Cookie Owner. The initial interview poses a few red flags. It seemed they didn’t know what they were really doing and were not asking the right questions. They didn’t ask me anything about my leadership style, how I might develop a team, anything along those lines. I chalked it up to ownership immaturity. They contacted me a few days later saying they would love to take me out to dinner, offer me the job and talk some more. This was cancelled shortly after due a family emergency on their side. There was no follow up after from them. I followed up twice and was ghosted. Definite red flags in communication + understanding of true franchise ownership.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
* they really just made assumptions that I could pull a team together, run a drive thru, hire, onboard, train, keep inventory and meet standards. They seemed to want confirmation of their assumptions, which I gave because I could do these things, but there was definitely some ownership immaturity there.
Not really an interview, if you get called in you basically have the job:) Just make sure to call whenever you put in an application, there's so many to filter through it's easier if we know your name.
