I was initially connected with a senior leader who shared my profile with the HR team. After a short conversation with HR on LinkedIn, an interview was scheduled with the sales team and the round was conducted by two members of the team.
After completing the interview, there was no communication for quite some time. I had to send multiple follow-ups over several days just to receive an update regarding the outcome. Eventually, I was informed that I had been rejected.
When I asked for feedback so I could understand where I could improve, it again required several follow-ups before any response was shared. However, the feedback that was eventually provided appeared to clearly belong to a different candidate, as it did not match anything discussed during my interview.
I highlighted this to HR and requested them to double-check, and I was told it would be reviewed. Unfortunately, there was no further response after that.
Overall, the process felt quite weird and shocking for such big companies.
Advice to management-
Inaccurate feedback shared with candidates can ruin someone's professional life. It's like you missed the right candidate for your company.
