I had accepted an interview with the company but I later reached out to decline the interview. I felt as though the schedule for the position would not be a good fit for my current schedule. With that consideration in mind, I sent an email declining only for the manager to call me and ask me to still come in. He asked what my reasons for declining were and I told him that my schedule wouldn't be a good fit for the schedule of the position. He said that could be worked out and he practically begged me to come in for the interview. I came in, had a great interview, learned more about the bookkeeping processes and client needs. The manager even checked my references only to tell me a week later I didn't get the position. I felt like it was a COMPLETE waste of time especially since I initially declined. I am an experienced financial professional and for a part time position, this job seemed very simple. Just be cautious when interviewing with this company.
