Interview
I applied to these guys last year, but was unable to follow through with any kind of interview as they took way too long to get back to me; by time they responded to my application, I had already obtained a job.
But what's funny, is that they took the liberty to schedule an interview with me on my behalf... THREE times. They called me once, which I missed the call. And they scheduled the interview for me, for the next day. I wasn't aware of this until I received the email. I responded via email about being unable to make the interview due to me working. So what do they do? They reschedule the interview for me. I still couldn't make it due to working full-time, in Mill Creek. They proceeded to do this another 2 times before finally giving up.
I applied again a couple weeks ago and they got back to me almost immediately. Again, I missed the call due to being at the gym and tried calling back. But the call just kept being ended on their end (no idea what was going on). I tried another 3 times so I sent an email over to HR, letting them know I had tried to contact them. They didn't get back to me until way later. Anyway, scheduled the interview and went over to meet them.
Difficult office to find. And the whole office space was so small and cramped, it felt like everyone had to step over each other to get somewhere. Someone had brought their child who seemed to be sick, and was just laying on the couch. I immediately had this sense of 'this isn't what I want' when I entered. Don't get me wrong, they're really nice people and are probably very passionate about what they do. I forgot who I spoke with but she was super easy-going, and it felt more conversational. Which is awesome. From what I understood, there's 3 parts to the interview process. I got a call back for the second round but I had wised up before then and withdrew my application (yet they still called me back). The second round, they match you up with a Team Lead, and I get the impression that they will get you to do some kind of pitch to them (I saw some people giving a pitch to one of the interviewers; seemed kinda weird that they weren't even in their own office while doing this part.) The whole experience of being just in the waiting room felt somewhat unprofessional, especially considering that the dress code that was required of me was 'business professional'. Had it have been more relaxed i.e business casual, the atmosphere probably would have felt like it made sense.
But this job, is NOT what you think it is. It's basically sales, and putting their brand out there (even though you'd be going to their already existing clients). You wanna be careful, because there are a few companies out there that offer similar jobs and they ALL have the same business plan; lure you in with what sounds like an incredible opportunity of learning and growth, but bung you down with a job that's not even remotely close to what you're looking for.
They're planning on some HUGE expansions this year, so are probably looking to recruit as many people as they can.
Thank you for taking the time to share feedback about your interview process. You are correct that we are looking to hire a lot of people due to our upcoming expansions, it's an exciting time at our office!
