After applying online, there was an intelligence assessment (no leetcode), then a 1) phone screen, 2) tech interview, 3) leadership interview, 4) offer.
I liked that they went fast, this all happened within a week. Some orgs strech it out over months.

2) General leadership approaches, e.g. how do you go about motivating your team?

So, they have a standard process that is as follows:
• Application (5 minutes)
• Online Assessment (40-50 minutes)
• Initial Phone Interview (30-45 minutes)
• Technology Knowledge Assessment Interview (30-40 minutes)
• Leadership Interview (60-90 minutes)
The online assessment is automated... they ask logic questions, spatial questions, problem solving questions. All fairly simple but timed. While I wasn't able to finish some of the questions... I still progressed to the initial phone interview...
I marked the interview difficulty question below as 'difficult' because I've never had someone give me a timed interview before I even speak to a person...

The Interview process consisted of:
1. Online Assessment (40 minutes)
2. Initial Phone Interview (30 minutes)
3. Technical Interview (60 minutes)
4. Final Interview (90 minutes)
I found the interview process to be clear and straightforward. It followed exactly how it was described in the Job Description. I appreciated that Emergent was using a quantitative approach to narrow the candidate list, as I was aware that there was a lot of competition for an open fully remote position. I preferred the use of the assessments and the Technical Interview as a way to narrow the candidate list over relying upon an Applicant Tracking System to do it. I also appreciated the chance to meet with multiple people over the course of the interviews and to ask questions of each.
