      Marketing Executive Interview

      17 June 2024
      Anonymous interview candidate
      No offer
      Negative experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied online. The process took 1 day. I interviewed at Emperor in June 2024

      Interview

I applied via Indeed and a couple of days later received a call regarding my application. As I missed the call the recruiter left me a voicemail saying that she would unavailable in the afternoon but would be able to discuss the role in more detail fhe next day so, I sent a text message with my availability and a call was arranged. As soon as the call started the recruiter said that the team thought my cv was amazing but wouldn't be negotiating on the salary and as my previous salary was higher than what was on offer my application wouldnt be taken any further. I was disappointed but also frustrated as I had spent time researching the company, going over the job post and matching it to my experience ahead of the called the recruiter. The recruiter spoke alot so it was hard for me sometimes to respond when I was asked a question and then the recruiter went on to ask how my job search was going and told me I wouldn't be unemployed for long she was sure of it. The recruiter kept reiterating that they would get back to me if the salary is increased and also asked if I was ok with this. It all felt like a bit of a let down and on some level a waste of time.
