Very slow process. In the interview they ask about your experience and behavioral questions related to the role. They are looking for someone passionate about public service with related experience.
I applied through other source. I interviewed at Empire State Development (New York, NY) in June 2024
Interview
Phone interview with hiring manager followed by a Zoom interview with the team, followed by a take-home exercise and final in-person interviews with the hiring manager (one-on-one) and division head (one-on-one). The process was fast, and all interviews felt pretty standard.

Interview
The first round was a thirty-minute panel interview with three senior team members including the position's supervisor, plus a member of HR. There was little back and forth/it was not that conversational. Ghosted after the first round.
