I applied through an employee referral. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Enchante Accessories (New York, NY) in July 2021
Interview
Chaotic, rushed and met the head of the division. Others were dragged into meet last minute. Everyone was stressed and tight lipped. Felt more like a hostage crisis than an interview. This was explained away by saying they’re understaffed. I would later learn that constant understaffing & turnover are features, not bugs at Enchanté.
I applied online. I interviewed at Enchante Accessories (New York, NY) in Oct 2023
Interview
It was very casual and easy. There were two rounds, first with HR via phone call and second in person with the team. It was moreso to learn about the company and see if interests are aligned.
I applied through university. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Enchante Accessories
Interview
I applied for a recent opening at Enchante Accessories through my Alma Mater's career portal. I was invited in to interview almost immediately, and on my first in person interview with a Sales exec I was asked to return to meet with the President of the respective division as a next step.
The interview was immediately scheduled. I met with Enchante Accessories a week later and was verbally offered the role. I asked when I would expect paperwork and they said it would come for end of week. I followed up with a thank you and inquired again about official paperwork SEVERAL times following a verbal offer. They ghosted.
The process was a complete waste of my time and even made for tense/complicated conversations with other companies that also had extended me an offer around the same time.
Actions > words. Ultimately I consider this a dodged bullet for I trust that this situation is testament of the level of basic respect/human decency they have for others which is MINIMAL.
Consistent with prior reviews below, this company was also going to low-ball me on salary based off of my time in the industry as well.
I'd stay away. To be flat out lied to your face is the lowest of the low professionally. I am sure it would be a reflection of what to expect during any future employment.
Interview questions [1]
Question 1
Interview was a very informal conversation. Seemed to be more about a personality fit but of course they wanted to know past career skills were translatable.
