      ETS II Interview

      30 Mar 2013
      Anonymous employee
      Accepted offer
      Positive experience
      Easy interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 12 months. I interviewed at Encore Global in Dec 2011

      Interview

You apply online, through the PSAV website. You'll then normally be contacted by a PSAV recruiter but in some cases the property themselves. The recruiter interviews you then passes your information onto the property who then calls you and sometimes does another phone interview before an in person or Skype (if you're from out of town) interview. After the in person interview they call or you call to find out if you got the job or not. If you didnt, your resume and info stays in the system and you have the choice to have it sent to other properties in your own region or different ones.

      Question 1

      All questions are pretty generic.

      Average interview

      Application

I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 weeks. I interviewed at Encore Global (Palm Springs, CA) in Jan 2013

      Interview

For me, is was fairly straight forward and conversational. Depending on your experience, you might also expect some of the standard behavioral assessment questions. You DO have to pass a routine background check and pass a drug test. Also, due to seasonality in this region, it took longer than normal, as I had to wait for the "appropriate" personnel to return from vacation before completing the interview process.

      Interview questions [1]

      Question 1

There weren't any tricky questions, because I had experience—AND—knew what to expect from the position I was applying to. Just be honest and do your homework on the company so you can contribute to the "discovery" process. Remember, you're interviewing them as much as they're interviewing you; if you do a quick search (and study) on "interview tips," you'll be prepared enough. Usually, an interviewer will ask you to describe a time in your past work experience when you screwed something up. Just be honest, but it may not be wise to use an example that makes you seem completely irresponsible - consider something trivial in nature.
