I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Engine (Denver, CO) in Feb 2023
Interview
Two half hour virtual interviews, first with recruiter and then with sales leader. The main questions were about work background and experience in relevant fields such as sales, hospitality etc. Second interview with sales leader was tricky as staged a roleplay sales call to see how I would sell Hotel Engine’s product to an unresponsive buyer. Was difficult to ask sideways questions without practicing first, so was caught off guard. Sales Leader was very honest in giving constructive feedback and helped me determine it wasn’t a role I would be a good fit for. He explained the role can be a grind for someone who is not accustomed to making 200+ sales calls a day or doesn’t have true passion for it. Made me rethink my whole career path, which was very helpful. Probably learned more talking to him for 30 minutes than I did spending years going to career counselors in school.
I applied through a recruiter. The process took 1 week. I interviewed at Engine (Tempe, AZ) in May 2026
Interview
The interview process was very engaging, informative, and well-structured from start to finish. Communication throughout the process was excellent, and each interviewer made the conversations feel comfortable and professional. I appreciated how transparent the team was about the role, expectations, company culture, and growth opportunities. Overall, it was a very positive experience that felt both personable and organized.
I applied through an employee referral. I interviewed at Engine in Mar 2026
Interview
I had an initial interview with the recruiter scheduled for Friday. She asked to reschedule 20 mins prior because she was (apparently) still at her doctors appointment. Rescheduled for same time Monday and she didnt show up or respond to my email while I was still sitting on her zoom call. I had a strong referral and from a currently employee and Sales Director.

I applied online. The process took 5 days. I interviewed at Engine (Raleigh, NC) in July 2023
Interview
Interview process was great and super quick! Everyone I met was easy-to-talk to. I really appreciated the timeliness of the interviews, especially for an entry-level position. I had some concerns about the quota being unachievable (1 meeting per day) and not receiving a commission monthly. Other than that, I had a great experience and it seems like an awesome company!
